Everyone is becoming more aware of the threats of climate change, land transformation, unsustainable use and pollution to nature. Evidence of the decline in nature’s benefits to people and the threats to good quality of life is now more convincing than ever. Investments in conservation projects and research has increased sharply over the past decade.
This, recent reports provide worrying evidence of loss of nature and its impacts on humans and links to climate change. To reverse these trends demands fundamental and radical change in ecosystem connectivity, societal networks, and human-nature connections.
In this seminar Christo Fabricius talk about social-ecological connectedness as leverage points for positive action towards a more sustainable planet.
